Pinks All Out update

We have returned from the Pinks All Out show and we had a great time. It was definately an experience that we will never forget! We had a problem with the motor on qualifying day. We rolled into the burnout box, brought the motor up to 6800rpm, held it for a few seconds, then the engine just quit. We tried to restart the car, but I could tell something was wrong; the motor was extremely tight. We worked on the car for a while and finally come to the conclusion that we were done. We stayed for the rest of the show and drove home the next day. We have since torn the motor down to find four spun rod bearings as a result of a cracked oil pump pickup tube. We are currently rebuilding the motor and should have it back up in a few weeks.

 We are taking the Vega out this weekend if the weather dries up. We’ve had rain for the past two days, so hopefully we will get the chance to run it soon.
