Car Show this weekend

We entered the Camaro in the Trail of Fear car show in the Pro-Street catagory and won First Place. Took the car out to the track Friday night and decided to spray the first stage of nitrous. The car got out of the grove at the 60 foot marker and went towards the wall. I got out of it and thought that I had steered it back into the groove and I stomped it again. The car went back towards the wall again. I guided it back into the groove again, stomped it, and it went towards the wall again. I stayed out of it this time and went through the lights, running a 6.45 @ 107 m.p.h.  Wow, what a ride! For those of you who saw it happen, you know what I ‘m talking about! My wife thought that I had hit the wall for sure. I didn’t leave a whole lot of room, that’s for sure. We found out later that the car had a rear main seal leak and was spraying oil on the track and possibly in front of the rear tires!!! We have since, pulled the motor and made the necessary repairs. We will be at Fort Sill for their “Still Serving” Car Show this Saturday, 30 September. Come on out and have a good time with us.

 Update1: We took the car to SMP last night, but it seems our oil leak is still there. We plan on pulling the engine in the next week or so. We’ll be down for a short while.

Update2: We won first place at the Still Serving Car Show at Fort Sill and also won “Best of Show” overall. They had a great crowd and we look forward to doing it again next year.

Next visit to Sooner Motorplex

We are planning on going to Sooner Motorplex and try to work the bugs out of the transmission that plagued us last Friday. Maybe we will get to spray a little nitrous at least one time before the end of the year. Come join us!
