Engine Update
July 21, 2006 on 9:43 pm | In Uncategorized | No CommentsIt’s been a while since i posted anything, so I decided that I would post an update on our engine troubles we had at our last outing. We tore the engine down and found that the oil pump pickup screen had fallen off into the oil pan, causing a loss in oil pressure and ruined the crankshaft as well as two of the rods. We have purchased a new Eagle 4340 Forged Steel Stroker Crankshaft, and have sent off the rotating assembly to be balanced. We should have the motor back together and ready for tuning in a few weeks. I’ll keep everyone posted on our progress.
